Just about two weeks ago the weather was beautiful and Morgan and Tyler decided they were going to go on a camping trip in our back yard. Morgan set up the tent and fireplace, we barbecued and ate dinner at the table in the yard and made smores when it got dark. Tyler had missed his nap that day though and was extremely overtired when it came time for bed around 10:00 (3 hours past his usual bedtime) and refused to sleep in the tent. Failed camping trip. It was decided they would try it again the next night so we did the whole routine over again this time with a nap and slightly earlier bedtime. The camp out lasted a couple hours and Tyler decided he wanted to sleep inside with Mommy. it was still a lot of fun! We'll try again many times this summer.
Tyler's favorite part was roasting the marshmallows. He would cook them until they were soft and squishy and then wouldn't eat them. He wouldn't even eat any smores. Graham crackers was about as adventurous as he would get.
