I made some delicious cookies (thank you Autumn for the link on your blog) the other day that only required 2T of heavy cream. I had almost an entire container leftover so I decided to make my very own homemade butter. I would like to say that this was the first time, but I think that would have to be in elementary school when we learned about the Oregon Trail.
I found some great instructions on how to make butter in your food processor. Super easy. This was a no frills version and I know the whole process will go much smoother next time. I always hate trying something for the first time. Next batch I will do something fancier like maybe adding salt or honey. For now it's just good old butter.
