Art Class

Today was Tyler's last day at art class. I'm sad to day that I am glad it is over. While Tyler learned some valuable art skills, he also tested my patience these past few week when he did not want to participate or would choose to talk to other kids with his hands (hit) instead of his words. We will put his new art skills to work at home for now. Next he will be taking a class more suited to him and his activity level; Tots in Tow - a tumbling type class.

One of Tyler's favorite activities was painting on the easel. He loved when he got it all over his hands and got to make hand prints. Today he accidentally touched the paintbrush to his face.
When he saw what he looked like in the mirror with one mark, he took full advantage and painted all over his face. I'm just glad it washed off.
Another activity that they had frequently was play dough. He likes smashing and cutting it.
This is what Tyler's art shirt looked like after eight weeks of classes. It started out as a plain white t-shirt. So much for washable paint. This will be a nice memento though.
If you look closely, you can also see a few hand prints. He likes smearing his hands across the shirt when he was done making hand prints on the easel.
